I take it on a cotton pad and gently swipe across my face. It removes any grease and impurities over the top layer and gives me moisturized skin. This water is meant to tone and moisturize skin, and it does live up to its claim. The moisturization might feel tacky or slightly greasy if you have oily-combination skin, but I like it, especially when the weather is on the drier side.
